Leaving aside the argument on whether it is CHENNAI EXPRESS or KRRISH 3 which is the biggest blockbuster of 2013 so far, the fact remains that for Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, it is time for some belated celebrations on the film's super-success. That is happening on the sets of HAPPY NEW YEAR where the two have reunited and together, they can't help but feel nostalgic about the fun moments spent during the Rohit Shetty directed affair.

'Most part of the shooting of CHENNAI EXPRESS was an ordeal in itself since the cast and crew shot at many virgin locations in Goa and Kerala. There was a lot of stress involved since the film was quite huge and the stakes were high as well. Moreover, right through the promotional activities of the film, while Shahrukh was closely supervising the post production activities, Deepika was juggling between the events and shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's GOLIYON KI RAASLEELA RAM-LEELA. Leave aside celebrations, there was never any moment of rest till the film released in August,' informs a source.

Nothing changed even after the film's release as Shahrukh continued to promote the film for further one month while Deepika rushed to finish GOLIYON KI RAASLEELA RAM-LEELA and also travel internationally for her other professional commitments. The two hardly got an opportunity to exchange a note or two and the only partying that they had was congratulating each other on phone.

'All of this has changed now with HAPPY NEW YEAR turning out to be a big reunion for the two superstars,' a source from the unit of HAPPY NEW YEAR adds, 'Both Shahrukh and Deepika are in a much more relaxed space and are finally getting a breather to spend time with each other and recollect all the fun they had during the making of CHENNAI EXPRESS. Poora partying ka mahaaul bana rehta hai as professionally as well as personally, they are on a huge high.'

With Farah Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivan Shah adding on to the party, it is an extended celebratory season that the unit of HAPPY NEW YEAR is enjoying.

Acknowledges Deepika, 'Yeah, this is the time when I am celebrating the success of CHENNAI EXPRESS with him. We couldn't do that earlier as soon after its release, I had to leave the country to shoot for a clothing line. While everyone was celebrating there, I was working. Thankfully, this schedule is giving us time to celebrate.'
