This Friday's new release, the Tigmanshu Dhulia directed Saif-Sonakshi starrer, BULLETT RAJA, was off to a mixed start. While the opening can be termed as good at the single screens of many stations of the Hindi belt (MP, UP and Bihar), places like Pune, Mumbai city and Mysore circuit were plain ordinary, specially the multiplexes.
BULLETT RAJA did see an uptick in collections at some cinemas of the hinterland towards the latter shows, and hopefully the trend should ensure a significant weekend haul for the film. But for that we have to wait and watch!
Meanwhile last Friday's box-office battle between Sunny Deol's SINGH SAAB THE GREAT and the Imran-Kareena venture, GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN, was fairly and squarely won by the former.
Just to elaborate, during the first week, the Anil Sharma directed SINGH SAAB THE GREAT has netted around 23-24 crore, while the Karan Johar (Dharma Productions') venture GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN could barely manage 12-13 crore, during the same period.
Before we leave, here is the update about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Deepika-Ranveer starrer, GOLIYON KI RAASLEELA RAM-LEELA. The film has crossed the 100 crore mark netting in the range of 103-105 crore, after the second week (to be validated), and is thus an above average, based upon its worldwide run.
GOLIYON KI RAASLEELA RAM-LEELA, SINGH SAAB THE GREAT and GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN!
