Kangana is going through interesting times as she has now entered the by-lanes of 'kothas' and enacting the part of a 'mujre-waali' for her author backed part in RAJJO. At the core of it, this Vishwas Patil directed film is a love story between her and a young teenage Brahmin boy (played by Paras Arora).
'Both Vishwas and Kangana were sure that RAJJO had to carry certain innocence and vulnerability while still being contemporary and real since the film is set in current times,' informs a source, 'Kangana didn't complain when she had to chew gutka and paan for bringing authenticity to her character.'
In order to be perfect for the part in this Vishwas Patil directed affair, she spent weeks watching quite a few notable performances from legendary actress-dancers like Rekha and Vjayanthimala. While these women had their own approach towards 'mujras' in the era gone by, Kangna has come up with a far more contemporary take.
Says Kangana, 'I did a lot of research, visited 'kothas' at Nagpada and met with women working there to understand their body language and mindset. I had to get it right. Vishwasji had good confidence in me and I decided to go for it. This required me to give 14-16 hours every day in rehearsing but guess I managed to pass the test.'
