Big movies clashing with each other at Box-office is nothing new in Bollywood. In the past, there have been many instances where-in the filmy Friday has witnessed big actors clashing together, and one of them emerges as the winner. And this time again, we have Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar clashing at the box-office with their movies SINGHAM 2 and GABBAR releasing on the same date i.e. August 15, 2014.
AKSHAY KUMAR and AJAY DEVGN
While Ajay Devgn's SINGHAM 2 is directed by Rohit Shetty, and a sequel to 2011 blockbuster SINGHAM, Akshay Kumar's GABBAR is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and UTV's Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Krish.
However, this is not for the first time that the two actors are pitied against each other. For two consecutive years, Ajay and Akshay's films released together and that too during Diwali. While Ajay's ALL THE BEST released on October 16, 2009 along with Akshay's BLUE, Ajay once again clashed with Akshay when their respective films GOLMAAL 3 and ACTION REPLAYY released on the same day, November 5, 2010.
Keeping in mind their past records, Ajay Devgn emerged winner every time and overpowered Khiladi Akshay Kumar. While Akshay's both the movies - BLUE and ACTION REPLAYY bombed at the box-office, Ajay's films - ALL THE BEST and GOLMAAL 3 were super hits in terms of collections. It must also be noted that Ajay's both the movies were directed by his lucky & favourite filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who holds a record of making box-office spinners.
Interestingly, this time too, Ajay Devgn's SINGHAM 2 is being directed by Rohit Shetty. And if one goes back in the history, Akshay may have to face the might of Ajay Devgn once again. But then nothing is impossible and you never know when the tides turn. With Akshay Kumar's GABBAR being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, one should not be surprised if the movie does well at the box office.
Well, to see who wins the race, the audience will have to wait for the big clash!
