Call it the KOCHADAIIYAAN effect but at least a couple of top Bollywood heroines are looking at heading south for a biggie. To be directed by S.S. Rajamouli of EEGA [dubbed as MAKHI], MAGADHEERA, MARYADA RAMANNA and VIKRAMARKUDU [remade as ROWDY RATHORE] fame, the film in question - BAAHUBALI - is being conceptualised as a Telugu-Hindi-Tamil trilingual.
'Just like KOCHADAIIYAAN where the makers (Rajinikanth's family) were sure that a Bollywood heroine would be front facing the film, same is the case with BAHUUBALI as well,' informs a source, 'Though there have been rumours around a top heroine being signed for the film, there isn't anything on the dotted line. Instead, it is going to be a Bollywood heroine; someone who is at the top of her game.'
Considering the fact that this boils down to some notable names in the B-Town, one wonders which heroine would be eventually making the cut.
'Talks are on but it won't be fair to name anyone right now and I would urge that you too don't state any speculative name,' says a source connected to the film, 'Unlike some of the recent casting controversies in films made in Hindi as well as other South languages, the makers want all decisions to be taken in-house instead of throwing around names. That would be wrong. However, it would be a top Bollywood heroine for sure.'
Known as the man who has been at helm of affairs for some of the biggest and most expensive films to be coming out of India, Rajamouli has made sure that the actress plays a very important role in the scheme of things. The leading man in here is superstar Prabhas.
'Quite a few actresses are sending feelers to Rajamouli and are hoping to be a part of history in the making, as was the case with Samantha Ruth Prabhu [EEGA], Kajal Aggarwal [MAGADHEERA] and Saloni Aswani [MARYADA RAMANNA]. However, Rajamouli is taking his time as he wants to judge an actress while keeping in mind her overall performance and personality,' the source adds.
Well, one looks forward to who would eventually make the cut.
