Salman Khan started it with DABANGG; Ajay Devgn had his own SINGHAM to boast of while Akshay Kumar scored a major success with ROWDY RATHORE. These are leading men who stepped into the space of bashing up dozens of goons in one go and performing on gravity-defying stunts.
Now Shahid Kapoor is all set to do that with R... RAJKUMAR and what sets him apart from these men is the fact that he is the youngest leading man to do that.
"This is something which is making R... RAJKUMAR really fresh," says Viki Rajani, the film's producer, who had started the year with relatively much controlled budgeted TABLE NO. 21 and 3G, "I had confidence on the script and also trusted the director. I knew how Prabhudheva would present the movie. I was convinced that he had the potential to carry off something like this. Of course with Shahid in there, it adds further edge to R... RAJKUMAR. Reason being that it is the first big scale action movie with a young hero. In fact this is the USP of the film too."
Other than the fact that Shahid is coming up with a lot of 'maar maar maar' in the film, it is the element of 'pyaar pyaar pyaar' with Sonakshi Sinha in tow which, as per Viki, is adding on to the entertainment quotient of the film.
"The chemistry between Shahid and Sonakshi is amazing. Considering all these facts, it worked in our favour," says Viki, "We had a decent budget to make the movie and the entire package works once you start believing your director, actors and the script."
