One of the most bindaas actresses in the industry who doesn't mind calling a spade a spade is Richa Chadha. Soon to be seen in RAM LEELA, the GANGS OF WASESEYPUR girl is happy that Sanjay Leela Bhansali thought of her to be a part of this magnum opus when she was flooded with offers coming in from producers who didn't have budget and had 'weird scripts' to narrate.
"It is so strange that after GANGS OF WASSEYPUR when I should have been celebrating and gearing up for some fantastic offers coming my way, I instead had these unknown gareeb filmmakers coming to me with some weird scripts. Some of the stories that have been narrated to me have been so laughable that it is tough to keep a straight face," says Richa who has been picking and choosing her projects quite carefully.
However, despite her clear mandate to accommodate only scripts with substance, there were people who tried to entice her with truly 'different' and 'out of the box' subjects.
"Time and again these so-called different films did nothing but tried to bring to fore many vulgar issues. But then why me? I have no clue why I was being seen as someone who can be slotted. Heck, I don't even want to get slotted as someone even sexy. Though in some polls I have been tagged as someone 'desirable', it is a surprise no less for me too. Main toh wahi hoon jo pehle bhi thi, pata nahi kya change dikh raha hai kuch logon ko ," smiles Richa who would be seen in a different avatar in RAM LEELA which releases all over on 15th November.
