Association of director Anthony D'Souza and Akshay Kumar goes more than half a decade back. That was the time when he had started collaborating with him on BLUE. The film released in 2009 and though in the time period gone by, Tony (as he is fondly called) could have possibly stuffed in a couple of years, he chose to wait. The reason was simple - He wanted to make his second film as well with Akshay Kumar and while there were quite a few ideas that were discussed and worked upon in the interim period, it was BOSS that was eventually finalised.
"Between BLUE and BOSS, I did develop other films also. However the constant factor there was Akshay Kumar. In each of these films, I had him in mind. Once BOSS was finalised last year, there was no looking back," says Tony.
While this is the tale of present and the past times, there are some definite thoughts that Tony has in mind for future as well.
"Given the choice, I would always want to work with Akshay," declares Tony, "He can work with any form of action and emotion. He is a complete actor and I guess the title BOSS is not just for the character that he is playing in the film but also for him in the real life. He is the BOSS of entertainment."
One looks forward to all the entertainment in store once this action comedy entertainer with Ronit Roy as the antagonist releases all over on 16th October 2013.
