Their last production, LOVE BREAKUPS ZINDAGI, may not have set the box office on fire but it was noticed for its classy look and feel with certain aesthetics on display. Now that producers Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha are bringing their next film on floors, BOBBY JASOOS, with none less than Vidya Balan in the title role, they are sure of setting base for a long innings ahead.

"You know, when we finished LOVE BREAKUPS ZINDAGI, people were asking us ki ab kya bana rahe ho, itna time nahi jaana chahiye, kuch shuru karo do, floors par le aayo. But then our point was that we don't have to prove anything to anyone. We were always extremely certain about where we were going," says Dia.

Adds Sahil, "If Dia and I put our heads down into work for 12 hours a day for two years at stretch, there was a reason behind that. There was some good work happening in the background. Eventually it was our prerogative on when we wanted to bring the film on floors. Even now when BOBBY JASOOS is being put together, it is just a beginning."

"Exactly," adds Dia, "We are not fly-by-night operators. We have developed three more scripts that we are proud of. Five years down the line I want people to say that agar Born Free production ki picture aa rahi hai toh kuch khaas toh shuru hoga. We want to maintain that brand identity."

BOBBY JASOOS, which is being directed by debutant Samar Shaikh, goes on floors in November and releases in the middle of next year.
