Since the birth of Aaradhya Bachchan in 2011 Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been looking to make a comeback. However, there were only speculations over speculations which ran like either Aishwarya is planning a comeback with superstar Shahrukh Khan or Sanjay Leela Bhansli's film or for that matter doing an item number in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film RAMLEELA. But nothing seemed to be materialized.
ABHISHEK BACHCHAN AND AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN
Now, the buzz in the B-town is that Aishwarya is finally returning on-screen with hubby Abhishek Bachchan in producer Gaurang Doshi's next venture HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. The shooting of which will commence next year and the film will hit the theatres in 2014 itself. It is being said that ad man Prahalad Kakkar will direct the film. Prahlad and Aishwarya's association go back a long way. It was Prahlad who introduced Aishwarya to the glamour world. He was also his neighbour at one point of time.
The star couple Aishwarya and Abhishek has worked together earlier in several of films like DHAI AKSHAR PREM KE, KUCH NAA KAHO, GURU, DHOOM 2, SARKAAR RAJ and RAAVAN and also danced on a popular item number 'Kajra Re' from BUNTY AUR BABLI. However, their pairing was loved by the audience only in GURU. DHOOM 2 was also super successful but one should not forget it was because of Aishwarya-Hrithik's sizzling chemistry which worked for the film. Rest all the films where Aishwarya and Abhsihek starred together fared poor at Box-office. Also, star couples in Bollywood like Saif-Kareena or Ajay-Kajol, despite their successful off-screen relations, haven't clicked on-screen so well.
Moreover, Aishwarya's contemporaries like Lara, Shilpa and former times celluloid queens like Sridevi, Madhuri, Juhi, etc are trying hard to regain their position in the industry. Keeping all these reasons in mind, one wonders if Aishwarya's decision to make a comeback with hubby was done hastily, since it's high time she strikes back on-screen to be in the competition.
