While a lot has been reported about the clash between International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards being held at Tampa Bay and the Elections 2014 on April 24, we caught up with dapper Abhishek Bachchan at an event, for his view on this matter.
Abhishek, who has recently purchased the Jaipur franchise in the Pro Kabaddi League, was present at the league's event yesterday and said that he would prefer voting over awards. ''I would definitely vote first. And if incase I have to go for IIFA, I will vote and then leave for the awards,'' said Bachchan.
Not just himself, but junior Bachchan made it a point to appeal others to go and vote this year. ''Voting is our responsibility and I urge people to do that. I request to each and every Indian that it is our duty as citizens of the country to vote during the Elections 2014,'' appealed Abhishek.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan is currently busy shooting for Farah Khan's upcoming film, HAPPY NEW YEAR, slated to release on October 22, 2014. The film also stars Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff and Vivaan Shah.
