Suniel Shetty to reinvent himself with KOYELAANCHAL

Suniel Shetty is all set to be seen in a pivotal role with KOYELAANCHAL. As an IAS officer, he locks horns with Vinod Khanna who plays the part of a coal mafia don. However, in contrast to the on-screen image that he has gained during last couple of decades, Suniel won't be flexing his muscles in the film. Instead, he is reinventing himself entirely with this Asshu Trikha film by changing everything, right from his body language, mannerisms, facial expressions and overall appearance.
"That was the whole idea of doing the film," says Suniel, "The exciting part was to drop the whole 'action man' body language and instead come across as someone vulnerable. I had come across as a man who could be afraid at times and play someone who is a human in the real world than being a superhero."
For someone who has been around for long, Suniel truly believes that KOYELAANCHAL would fetch him some good appreciation from all quarters.
"This is my 25th year in the industry. While BALWAAN released in 1992, I had also done a couple of other films since 1988-89 (Arzoo, Faulaad) which were unfortunately shelved. I have been around for good enough time period to see trends come and go. For me, there is always excitement when I do films like BORDER, RED ALERT or now KOYELAANCHAL which get me into a different zone. These are films which are commercial but then at the same time also touch reality in a big way," he says.
We would love to see that happening once KOYELAANCHAL, which is also produced by Asshu Trikha, releases all over on 9th May.
