Ask her what made her sign ENTERTAINMENT and she says, ''There have been a lot of comedy films in the past but a genre that hasn't been touched in a really long time is the genre in which an animal and a human being’s relationship is shown. Films like HAATHI MERE SAATHI, NAGINA and AANKHEN were made really long ago. So this particular genre has been really empty and hasn't really been tapped. I was quite happy to know that Sajid and Farhad were making this film. I had worked with them during HIMMATWALA. They were the writers of the film. They signed me for ENTERTAINMENT after HIMMATWALA got over. The entire star cast - Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj, Mithun da, Krushna and Johnny Lever has done fabulous work in comedy. That kind of let me to be a part of ENTERTAINMENT.''
Akshay Kumar and the dog are the main characters of ENTERTAINMENT. Does Tamannaah feel she'll be overshadowed by them? ''Well, I am the actress of the film. I don't think it's possible for anyone to take that away from me. I feel we all have been given very nice and interesting characters. Normally, there’s a love track which runs separately but they have incorporated every character in a way that it suits and helps the plot. So in the commercial format, the best possible role has been given to me. So I am quite happy with it.''
Even though the two Hindi films she has acted in till now - HIMMATWALA and HUMSHAKALS (both directed by Sajid Khan) didn't do well at the box office, Tamannaah is unperturbed. She says, ''My films haven't done well at the box office and haven't been appreciated. But I still don't regret any of them. I am very happy with the decisions I made. Also, I am the kind of person who doesn't look back. I am somebody who moves forward. The commercial success or failure cannot decide the way I feel about a film.''
So will she work with Sajid Khan in the future? ''Well, Sajid has to figure that out. If he comes up with something and if I like it, I would definitely like to work with him,'' says the actress on a concluding note.
