Though it was generally believed that Akshay Kumar’s ENTERTAINMENT would not be able to match the success of his big hit, HOLIDAY, it has turned out to be a pleasant surprise in the opposite direction! It is the Farhad-Sajid directed ENTERTAINMENT which has opened much better than HOLIDAY during the dreaded morning shows!

While the opening is good in the North, Rajasthan, East Punjab and CI (50-60 percent), it can be termed as decent in Gujarat and Maharashtra (40 percent).

In fact there was a healthy pick up during the latter shows, more at places where it was lower in the morning shows, and the first day is expected to be better than the superstar’s last release, HOLIDAY- A SOLDIER IS NEVER OFF DUTY.

Meanwhile, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Salman, Jacqueline, Nawazuddin and Randeep starrer, KICK, maintained the tempo even in the second week with another 49-50 crore, thus netting nearly 210 crore in just two weeks from India and is a blockbuster.
