Three years after a terrific performance in BOL (2011), Humaima Malick would be seen on the big screen with RAJA NATWARLAL. The films are as different as they get, right from stage, setting, presentation and narrative. From an award winning set up in the Pakistani affair, she is taking an out and out commercial route with the Emraan Hashmi starrer.
''With BOL, I have done my bit to carry a film on my own. Now I wanted to do something along with a popular male lead where I can entertain people,'' says Humaima in a matter of fact tone, ''It is a start though in this new industry and a new nation. I can't expect everything to happen overnight. Aisa nahi hai ki bass Bollywood mein aaye and suddenly female centric scripts milne lage. Even I would like a script like QUEEN, MARY KOM and REVOLVER RANI to come my way but I do understand that it would take time.''
Though she did her bit in films like BOL and ISHQ KHUDA, RAJA NATWARLAL is being counted as her maiden venture. Humaima is happy that she is making her debut with the man of the masses, Emraan Hashmi.
''He is a charmer and I know for sure that audience loves and adores him. He is making waves in his career. He would also be seen in an international film (TIGERS) soon. He has proved himself. I am lucky to be debuting with him,'' smiles Humaima before signing off.
