Vijay Khatri, the owner of Arvindbhai Khatri Sons, a reputed name in Indian ethnic menswear, now ventures into film production with Gujarati flick AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA.
“Right from childhood I had a dream to be a part of the film industry. I was always looking out for a chance to do something in movies business. So when I came across a film like AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA, I decided to produce it,” Khatri says.
While the writer & director of the film Tejas Padiaa wanted to make it in Hindi, Khatri was keen to have AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA in Gujarati. Probe Khatri about choosing Gujarati language over Hindi and he says, “Firstly, there is a dearth of good cinema, especially Gujarati cinema. And right from day one I was clear that I wanted to make a Gujarati film as I am Gujarati. Secondly, the subject of AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA is very strong and appealing. Moreover, I don't like run-of-the-mill topics like love stories or typical action films, I wanted to do something unique like AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA.”
