Says Naveen Kasturia, who's acting in the film, “SULEMANI KEEDA has situational humour and is about real people and characters. The humour is effortless and we're not trying to forcibly make people laugh.”

Ask him if it was frustrating to see the film not releasing and he affirms, “Yes, it was. It was the only thing I had done. I had high hopes from the film because we had made something different and wanted it to release.”

Naveen started as an Assistant Director in films like LOVE, SEX AUR DHOKA and SHANGHAI (both directed by Dibakar Banerjee) before getting into acting. “My initial plan was to become a director and make films but that didn't happen. As of now, my focus is on acting,” says Naveen.

Speaking about the future of indie films in India, Naveen says, “I hope it becomes better for indie films to release. But it's difficult. It's not only in India. If you are making a film without a star it's very difficult to make people come to theatres. I will easily watch a Tom Cruise film even if it's bad. Having a star in your film does help. Unless you have a known face, it becomes very difficult to make people come to the theatres.”
