After playing a gangster in his debut film SHOOTOUT AT WADALA, Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhanth Kapoor will be yet again seen as baddie in the upcoming film UGLY, helmed by Anurag Kashyap.

Siddhanth talks about his character in the film, ''My character in UGLY is very dark, ugly and money-minded one. He is basically a street smart guy, who choses wrong paths to make easy money. Actually, there is no one positive in this film. Everyone's ‘ugly' in this flick.'' However, he clarifies that his character is not kinky, as it appears. ''Though my character has little madness and he is a womanizer, it is no way kinky. It's a ground-breaking, performance-oriented and prominent role.''

Interestingly, Siddhanth has been a fan of Anurag's style of movies and wanted to work with him ever since he made PAANCH. “Anurag Kashyap gives a nice treatment to his films. They are gritty and real. His scripts are raw; they have reality and whole lot of craziness. I was after him since he made PAANCH. He has been my dream director even when he was not established,” confides Siddhanth.
Siddhanth has portrayed only grey shades on-screen. Ask Siddanth if he is going on the lines of father Shakti Kapoor, who is popular as ‘Bad Man' of Bollywood, and he says, ''I don't really think so. My father has been a versatile actor and he's played myriad genres and characters. To match up his level or adapt his style wouldn't be easy. Having said that, playing a baddie comes naturally because we used to go on his film shoots during childhood days. So, we have quite observed his characters.''

Unlike his sister Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth chose to tread an unconventional path in Bollywood with films like SHOOTOUT AT WADALA and UGLY. ''I really love to be in different zone. I love weird characters, real stuff,'' says Siddhanth

Besides, he is also doing films like JAZBAA, FATACK and BOMBAIRIYAA.
