For filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, it couldn't have been better than this. While for his debut affair MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN, he had Katrina Kaif as the central protagonist, for his immediate next film GUNDAY, he has Priyanka Chopra as the centre of attraction.
Even though the film appears as male-centric, courtesy its title and presence of Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Irrfan Khan, it is quite apparent that Priyanka Chopra has a major role to play as well. No wonder, she is now plastered all over the promotional material and though she was missing in the first teaser, today she is a part of every single promo being released, especially the songs and dances.
With her song 'Tune Maari Entriyaan' already popular, her much hyped French cabaret inspired dance number 'Asalaam-e-Ishqum' has resulted in soaring temperatures too.
Says Ali, 'For GUNDAY, I didn't just need a beautiful looking woman but also an outstanding actress. Priyanka is a stunner; she is just an ideal woman with those peculiar face and body features that only an Indian woman can boast of. As for her acting abilities, I don't think I am even the right person to talk about. After all, she has proven that time and again. Give her anything and she just makes it happen.'
Meanwhile when it comes to the chemistry being shared between the three leads, Ali exclaims, 'Well, Arjun is fire, Ranveer is wind and Priyanka is water. She just dilutes everything.'
