While the deadlock between P.K. and BOMBAY VELVET continues, the young woman who could well be caught in a precarious situation is Anushka Sharma. She is the leading lady in both films and if at all this clash indeed takes place, it would be a mighty tough situation for the spunky young woman.
AAMIR KHAN, ANUSHKA SHARMA AND RANBIR KAPOOR
After all, both films are very important and dear to her. Other than two big superstars as her leading men, she is also working with directors of repute - Rajkumar Hirani and Anurag Kashyap. Obviously she can't pick sides for reasons more than one. Moreover, after a lukewarm 2013 which just saw the release of MATRU KI BIJLEE KA MANDOLA, Anushka has quite a lot to look forward to in 2014.
Things were a little better earlier on though. Reason being that she was looking at a much balanced year, what with P.K. arriving in June, NH 10 in September and then BOMBAY VELVET in December. However moving ahead of P.K means she would have quite some clutter towards the end of the year, something which is hardly an ideal situation.
Meanwhile even when it comes to NH 10, she is caught in an awkward situation. That's because Roy is slated for arrival on the same day as NH 10. In a way, Anushka would be taking on her BOMBAY VELVET co-star Ranbir, who has a key role to play in ROY. It would be quite interesting to see how she manages her films now, especially considering the fact that she turns producer with NH 10 and hence should have better control over the affairs.
However, Anushka's immediate concern is to see that P.K. and BOMBAY VELVET are spaced out better. After all, it isn't every year when you have an Aamir and a Ranbir starrer to boast of. More so, when the fun lies in spacing out the excitement than everything happening on the same day.
