The new releases of the week barring HASEE TOH PHASEE and to a lesser extent, BABLOO HAPPY HAI, failed to impress at the box-office.
While Dharma and Phantom Productions' HASEE TOH PHASEE opened to a 30-50 percent response at the multiplexes of big cities, another prominent release of the week, the next offering from the I AM KALAM team, BABLOO HAPPY HAI, was much lower at 10-15 percent on an average, despite appreciation.
Another significant release, the Adhyayan Suman starrer HEARTLESS too failed to make a mark with the audience. The last release of the week, the film with an honest intention but poor execution (and almost zero promotion), YA RAB, could not deliver its message. From the four aforementioned releases, it is just the Sidharth, Adah and Parineeti starrer, HASEE TOH PHASEE, which has good chances of succeeding at the turnstile.
The major release of last week, Abhay Deol's ONE BY TWO barely managed to net around 2.50 crore during the opening week from India and has been rejected.
Meanwhile, after a decent opening week the Sohail Khan directed Salman Khan starrer, JAI HO, saw a huge fall in the second week. The film has netted 103 crore (to be validated) in two weeks from India and is an average plus fare as of now.
