Ranveer Singh: Drifted apart with Anushka Sharma; grown closer to Deepika Padukone

While the current heartthrob of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh has never really spoken in the open about dating his first leading lady Anushka Sharma (BAND BAAJA BAARAAT and LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL), he certainly revealed that Anushka and he have drifted apart.

Recently, when we caught up with Ranveer and asked him about his equation with supposed former girl-friend Anushka, he candidly admitted, ''Well, with Anushka Sharma I did my first two films. So when we used to work together we used to get to interact a lot. After that we haven't worked together. So yes, we have drifted apart. But then again she is somebody who always holds a special significance in my life being my first heroine. I was completely raw and new. It was she who taught me so many new things. I'll always be appreciative of her as a person and genuinely believe that she is one of the outstanding talents of our industry.''
Ranveer is fine with the idea of being friends with ex-flames. ''Yes, it's possible to be friends with ex-flames. I am friends with most of my ex-lovers,'' he confessed.
Taking a clue, we instantly quizzed him about Deepika Padukone. Ranveer spoke cautiously stating, ''Deepika again holds a special significance in my life. She is somebody who I admire and respect a lot. She's somebody who I have grown close to over a period of time in the process of working together. She is an awesome person!''
As we further probed Ranveer about his relationship status with his 'Leela', he said, ''We are friends. There is nothing beyond friendship. But we do hang out together because she is a very cool person to hang out with. I thoroughly enjoy her company. We go out like any other youngsters, who are friendly with each other. In fact, I hang out with a lot of other people as well and they are not the number one heroines of the country.''
