Known for her seductive moves, Jennifer Lopez has enthralled audience for years with her song-n-dance numbers. On the other hand Sunny Leone has made a career out of seductive moves, albeit of a different kind. However, it took a Bollywood outing for both styles to converge, what with Sunny's fun-n-naughty number 'Baby Doll' bringing on the kind of style which is associated with JLo's signature steps.
SUNNY LEONE TURNS JENNIFER LOPEZ IN RAGINI MMS 2
"Before RAGINI MMS-2, Sunny did two films - JISM 2 and JACKPOT. However none featured her in a dancing avatar except her guest appearance ('Laila') in SHOOTOUT AT WADALA, which had a few moves as she was paired with John and Tusshar. 'Baby Doll' is her first full-blown dance number. Add to that a sprinkle of Jennifer Lopez and the cocktail is deadly," quips an observer.
It wasn't designed this way to begin with though. When composers Meet Bros. Anjjan came up with the Kumaar written 'Baby Doll', sung by Kanika Kapoor, Balaji was thrilled with its chartbuster appeal that the Punjabi-Hindi dance number offered. However as the creative team starting working on the overall packaging, it was widely felt that an international touch would only take the desi number even higher.
When contacted, officials at Balaji were surprisingly candid about the references. Said Tanuj Garg, CEO, "It is a cool, international-looking dance number with huge club value. She's looking gorgeous in the video. The track is poised to be a chartbuster."
