Always so modest and unassuming, actor par excellence, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is at the peak of his career, which has now gone international. After winning countless hearts and acclaims through his portrayal in the commercially successful THE LUNCHBOX, which was screened at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), last year where Nawaz was present to grace the occasion. And just a month ago we got the good news of his film, LAIR'S DICE, being selected for the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, which will take place from January 16-26 in Salt Lake City, Utah, US.
The actor as always is wrapped up in his forthcoming projects, but one film that he is really looking forward to is another internationally acclaimed venture, MISS LOVELY. The film was screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, where it received an amazing response. Nawaz informs us that MISS LOVELY is very close to his heart, as it was the first film where he was offered a full-fledged, role but somehow it was stuck up and so could not release.
Nawaz essays the role of a C-grade film director who makes films for his elder brother, a role essayed by Anil George (of the BLUE UMBRELLA and HU TU TU fame), whose look is quite similar to legendary director Vijay Anand. It also stars Niharika Singh in the role of an actress, the cause of trouble between the two brothers.
