Bollywood mourns Akkineni Nageswara Rao's death

Veteran Telugu actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, popularly known as ANR, passed away early morning today in Hyderabad. He was 90. Father of famous Telugu actor Nagarjuna, ANR was suffering from intestinal cancer.


The Dadasaheb Phalke award winner, Akkineni Nageswara Rao starred in some of the big films like BATASARI, DEVADAS and PREM NAGAR, TENALI RAMAKRISHNA, MAYA BAZAAR, MISSAMMA and SITARAMAYYA GARI MANAVARALU. However he earned critical acclaim for his film DEVDAS based on the novel of acclaimed Bengali author Sarat Chandra Chatterjee.

Bollywood actors too offered their condolences on a micro-blogging site.
