Salman Khan: I have failed with JAI HO

Like all the recent Salman Khan releases, many expected JAI HO to get off to a flying start. But that wasn't the case as the film's opening day collections were 17 crore.
Salman Khan took the responsibility of JAI HO's collections and said, 'The overall collections of the film matter. If the film gets a good opening, it's good. If it doesn't, nobody has failed but me. I could not perhaps get people to come and see the film,' said Salman Khan.
Said the actor, 'No one can predict the collections of a film. I am not affected by the figures of my film. We have made a beautiful and good film. JAI HO is entertaining. It has action and also gives a good message.'
The actor said that he and his team were baffled with the film's collections.
'We are confused. The reactions in the theatres and the collections aren't matching up. So it's a very strange combination,' said the actor.
Further analyzing the film, the actor added, 'The credit or the blame of the film should come to me and not anybody else. Perhaps I've failed in bringing in the people. We tried to do something different. The people didn't want to see the film. They expected to see a DABANGG, BODYGUARD or READY. They wanted to enjoy. Some people understood that this is not that kind of film and that it's a serious film.'
Directed by Sohail Khan, JAI HO released last Friday on January 24.
