For Jacqueline Fernandez, KICK is by far the biggest film that she has been a part of. Though she has enjoyed a successful stint with a hat-trick of hits behind her (RACE 2, HOUSEFULL 2, MURDER 2), it is for the first time ever that she is being seen as a solo leading lady with a superstar hero in the form of Salman Khan.
This is not all as the man who entrusted her to do the job, Sajid Nadiadwala, truly believed that she had it in her to deliver goods as far as being the only heroine in a multi crore set up. While for the producer turned director it was a gamble no less, considering the fact that any other top heroine would have been more than happy to share screen space with Salman in a part which is said to be quite meaty, even Jacqueline carried an attitude of this being her big moment which she had to make count.
"I knew that for sure that I had to deliver here. Period,' says Jacqueline, 'After all, Sajid was giving me this huge chance and I couldn't let him down. Now if you look at the film, the whole enormity and bigness is Sajid's mind child. He has been producing movies for long and delivering hits. He knows so much about cinema and now that he has directed KICK himself, he has gone all out to make it work."
With a golden opportunity indeed, Jacqueline knew that she had to fall back on Sajid's call and follow his direction, well literally.
CHECK OUT: Why did Jacqueline Fernandez applaud Nargis Fakhri?
"That's right; I have followed his advice blindly. I really felt that he was directing everyone in the most amazing way. See, I am a director's actor and I need to have someone to direct me well. Once I am in sync, I follow directions very easily. This is pretty much my forte and I hope Sajid approves of that as well," she smiles.
Well, going by the reactions to Jacqueline's presence in the film as far, our guess is that Sajid does approve indeed!
KICK is produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and features Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda & Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles & is set to release this Eid.
