Jacqueline Fernandez is more than happy to be part of KICK but it wasn’t an easy journey for her. She shares, “It’s very exciting for any actor to be part of a Salman Khan starrer KICK. I am more than kicked about it! But nothing comes easy…KICK didn’t came to me overnight. After five years of struggle, I am here. It was a tough journey to reach this level, to be paired opposite superstar Salman Khan.”
But with the presence of the might like Salman Khan, she must be pretty relaxed? “No I was never relaxed. Since, it was a big movie I had to be on toes,” Jacqueline says and adds, “But I also need to be appreciated. My character needs to be highlighted.”
While Salman is known for being moody & temperamental at times, ask Jacqueline if she experienced something similar and she defends him, “It was a professional environment on the sets. He didn’t throw any tantrum forget being moody. There are bad days and hardships and everyone goes through it. And Salman is no exception. He is also a human being. Even he is allowed for bad days.”
But ask if she had any preconceived notion about the star and Jackie shares, “It was little bit intimidating before shooting with Salman. But as we started he distracted me and I completely forgot that I was intimidated. And now I want to do more films with him. Even if I am offered a cameo role, I will be part of it.”
As producer Sajid Nadiadwala is turning director with KICK, probe Jackie if she was skeptical about it and she says, “No I wasn’t skeptical. I always knew about his potential. Sajid has made such a beautiful movie and I think he should’ve got into direction much earlier. I hope whenever he does the film, he calls me.”
