If you loved the moves and grooves of Salman Khan’s KICK songs ‘Jumme Ki Raat Hai’, ‘Hangover’, ‘Devil’ and others, then the credit for it goes to one of Bollywood’s finest choreographer, Ahmed Khan!

While Ahmed has been around in the industry for more than a decade and choreographed for some of the best chartbusting numbers, it’s quite surprising to learn that he hasn’t collaborated with b-town’s most sought-after star Salman Khan!

Though he did few sequences and one-two songs with Salman in EK THA TIGER and GOD TUSSI GREAT HO, KICK is Ahmed Khan’s first full-fledged project with style bhai Salman Khan.
“I did choreograph in EK THA TIGER and had few sequences in GOD TUSSI GREAT HO also. But he never used to work with me nor I. He had his own set of people and I used to have mine. It’s quite strange that it never happened or the opportunity never came our way,” reveals Ahmed.

And the credit for bringing them together goes to producer-turned-director Sajid Nadiadwala.

“It was Sajid Nadiadwala who gave me the project. It was for the first time I have done the entire film of Salman Khan. It was because of Sajid, Salman and I came together. He has been a close family friend. Since Sajid was making his debut as a director, he wanted me to do it. He asked me and I said I’m fine with it. I asked him to confirm with Salman. When he got in touch with Salman, he said 'I want it in a different way and it has to look unique",says the ace choreographer.

So, ask what stopped him or Salman to associate with each other all these years and Ahmed opens up, “I never thought it will happen. It would be one of my fond memories. It was so much fun and great experience to work him. Even I am surprised that in all these years I didn’t team up with such a fine actor & person,” and adds, “It did not happen because somewhere he was not fond of me. Though I was fond of him, I was never in awe of him or to work with him. I was so damn busy working with Ranbirs & Shahids of the world that I missed a lot of opportunities.”

He further adds in the same vein, “May be, I am also snobbish in my own world and never did bhai bhai or be after him, like others do.”

So, from here on do we see Ahmed and Salman joining hands and have they turned best of the buddies after working in KICK together? “No, you can’t say best of friends. But yes we will definitely work together. We have developed a good working relationship,” he says.
Finally, ask Ahmed out of the two Salman and Jacqueline who is a fab dancer and Ahmed says, “Jacqueline is a far superior dancer, while Salman is such that his stardom and larger-than life persona takes over everything.”

Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Randeep Hooda, KICK has music by Himesh Reshammiya and is all set to release on July 25, 2014.
