She made a two piece bikini appearance in AURANGZEB and beyond a song and a couple of scenes, there wasn't much for Sasha Agha to do in the Arjun Kapoor starrer. After stepping in for a part that Shraddha Kapoor let go, Sasha hasn't been visible on the Bollywood scene since then.
Now director Anand Kumar, who has earlier helmed ZILA GHAZIABAD, insists that Sasha would get a re-launch with his gangster-world-meets-patriotic-saga DESI KATTEY as she would be seen in an altogether new avatar.

'In the film, Sasha plays Jay Bhanushali's love interest and Suniel Shetty's sister,' informs our source, 'She has a very interesting role in the film and the part she plays is much better than the one she had consented to in AURANGZEB. In fact this is the first time that Sasha would be seen as a quintessential Bollywood heroine as in AURANGZEB, she had played a girl with grey shades.'
While it is a known fact that Salma Agha, mother of Sasha, is quite protective about her daughter, she readily consented to her stepping into DESI KATTEY as she felt that there was ample scope to perform despite the film being an all-men affair.
'I know Sasha's family for the last 4-5 years and they are very close to me. It was not at all difficult for me to get her on board for the film,' says Anand.
As for her re-launch with his film, Anand says without mincing any words, 'I truly believe that Sasha chose a very wrong film for her launch. Now DESI KATTEY is more of an ideal launch for her. She is playing a very balanced part of a perfect heroine and has a lot to deliver from performance standpoint as well.'
We would truly like to see that in action.
