Read on...
Armaan you debuted in Bollywood with Salman Khan’s JAI HO. How was your experience? It was really amazing because I’m just 18 and I had the privilege to do three songs in a Salman Khan movie (JAI HO). And I don’t think anyone of my age has been able to be the voice of Salman Khan. So it is quite a special thing for me and it happened at such an early stage in my career, so it gives a lot of boost to me to work hard.
'I'm keen to work with A.R. Rahman'
How was it working with Salman Khan? It was a very enriching experience. Salman bhai has molded me into someone who I am right now. A year and a half back I was very chubby and couldn’t dance. It was he who put me on work out and asked me to start dance classes. That way he mentored me. He helped me in a lot of ways and has been an amazing guide. Salman Khan helped me develop my personality and performance skill.
Salman was present at your album launch. Did you expect that? That was something unbelievable. I remember going to Salman bhai to make him hear my songs and request him that whenever this album launch happens I hope he can come and support me. Salman bhai had heard the songs and he promised me that he would support me and would be there for the album launch. So that was a big thing to come from him. There is no greater feeling than to have someone like Salman Khan to come, support and mentor you.
Audience loved your songs in JAI HO and even your album has been received well. What is your take on it? I am really ecstatic about the response my album and debut in Bollywood has garnered. It is really amazing to see the kind of response I have been receiving and the fan following I have got on a micro-blogging site. It feels great to be loved by the people.
