After penning impressive lines for the films like TAXI NUMBER 9211, CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA, ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, THE DIRTY PICTURE, MAIN TERA HERO, & others, star dialogue writer Rajat Arora has come with some ‘kick’-ass dialogues for Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer!
Ask if he wrote keeping Salman Khan’s stature in mind and Rajat says, “Basically, it’s a mixture of everything. Dialogues are written keeping the character of the film in mind and that is the most important thing for any good film. All we need is a nice punching line to capture the personality of the star. Of course when Salman speaks a line it becomes 20 times bigger. When he mouths a dialogue it becomes a signature line. Salman makes a simple line also impactful!”
With Salman being there, was it a pressure to come up with some striking dialogues and is it easy to please our style bhai? “Definitely pressure is always there to come up with good lines. Everybody is working hard and of course looks for perfection. We have to be on toes. Nobody will accept mediocre work. Pressure of quality is always there. It’s not easy to please Salman. We narrated him scene to scene and then he was fine with it. We made some 10-12 drafts for KICK and then it was approved.”

Rajat, who is working with Salman Khan for the first time in KICK, is a huge fan of the star and was looking forward to work with him for quite some time. “Who would not like to write for him? I have been a huge fan of his,” says Rajat.
Through KICK Rajat explored a new world outside the one where he had enjoyed each of his outings so far with filmmaker Milan Luthria. KICK is his first collaboration with Sajid Nadiadwala. Probe him if he shifted loyalties and Rajat says swiftly, “I haven’t shifted loyalties. I am still working with him,” and adds, “Sajid is a liberal producer and director. He is of great support and gives that space. His work is outstanding. Sajid is a seasoned producer at the same time he has the enthusiasm of a kid. I have learnt a lot from him. He knows his job 10 times better than anyone.”
As Rajat shares a good camaraderie with Milan Luthria, ask how was it working outside comfort zone and he says, “If you are comfortable then you are complacent. That should not happen. One should go out of comfort zone.”
Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Randeep Hooda, KICK released all over on July 25, 2014!
