Sanjay Dutt lovingly addressed as Sanju Baba turns 55 today. Glamsham.com wishes the actor birthday greetings and takes a close look at his relation with his father Sunil Dutt, the famous Bollywood actor.
Like most kids Sanjay Dutt too was a mama’s boy and was attached to his mother, Nargis, the legendary actress, who became immortal in Memboob Khan’s all time classic, MOTHER INDIA. Though Sanjay was attached to his mother he had great regards for his father, who unlike his mother was stern but a doting father.
Recalling his younger days Sanjay in an interview confessed, “When I was sent to Lawrence School, Sanawar in Himachal Pradesh, I felt deeply hurt as I wished to stay with my parents. But papa felt boarding school was best place for me as it would inculcate in me discipline and virtues.”
He added, “My early experience at the school was bitter because the teachers at the school were very strict. Besides being a star son became my other handicap because the teachers used to be extra strict and harsher towards me to send a message to other children that they do not give any preferential treatment to celebrity children.”
Nevertheless Sanjay Dutt later realized that whatever his father had planned for him was absolutely right. He said, “After I grew up I understood my father was right in sending me to the boarding school because far away from dazzling world of Bollywood in Mumbai, I got the opportunity to learn to be an independent individual and most important our school’s motto ‘Never give in’ made me a strong man to fight all adversities without bowing down.”
