Moon Moon Sen's autonomy of dressing sense forbidden!

Moon Moon Sen is recently making news, not for roles in movies, but for contesting Lok Sabha 2014 election from Bankura constituency in Kolkata on Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress. However, yet again, what is creating a hurdle for her is her modern dressing style. In an interview she lamented, ''Though I am happy contesting the election but my freedom of wearing dresses of my style are forbidden. Lately when I stepped out in skirt and a blouse, party members raised eye brows and I am compelled to wear formal sari.''

Recalling her early days, Moon Moon Sen said, ''I have been an avid buff of modern attire since my teenage when I began selecting my own attire. I used to wear short pants, miniskirts and latest modern outfits popular in the West. Mummy never used to put any restriction on the way I dressed.'' She continued, ''When I wore swim suit in Bollywood movies, many people created hullaballoo about my dressing code but mummy ignored as she was from the industry and was aware about the demands of role.''
She continues, ''My mummy told me that if I was not comfortable in a sari then it was no issue. However she advised that during family rituals like Shraddhs (Mourning Prayers) I should I should oblige by wearing a traditional sari.''
