She plays a bold prostitute with some skin show to compliment too in her debut film KOYELAANCHAL. However, for the longest time, newcomer Roopali hid the very fact about doing the film from her family. It was only after the film was complete when she informed her father, who is a retired policeman that she has played a lead role in KOYELAANCHAL.

'Since the film required her to go bold, Roopali needed some time to think about it before stepping in more so, since she comes from a very orthodox family. However, once she was on board, she was just being an actress and hence went all out instead of creating any fuss whatsoever,' says Asshu.

It was only when a considerable part of the film was shot when she told her sisters about the film. Later when the film's shooting was through, she informed her mother, though she was still petrified of her dad.

'She hid this fact from her father as she was unsure how he would react,' informs Asshu, 'It was only recently when I told her that it was high time she informed him about it since the promos were on. None of us wanted him to get a shock by knowing about it from the media.'

To her good fortune, even though her father was initially apprehensive, he turned out to be quite supportive when Roopali narrated to him about the film and its treatment. His only advice to her was that even as she continues in the industry, she doesn't compromise on her principles and is honest with her work.

'Today her family is quite happy about her work,' says Asshu in a proud tone, 'In fact Roopali herself is taken aback with her performance. I am glad that my confidence in her has paid off.'

With the film releasing this Friday, it would be good to see audience reaction now.
