Not many are aware that Kriti Sanon, who is making her Bollywood debut with HEROPANTI, is an Engineering graduate. Unlike many of her counterparts who have not even finished school and have hastily joined the film industry, Kriti was sure of finishing her Engineering first before diving deep into the world of films.
'Well yes, I have done my Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida,' informs Kriti, 'From my very childhood, I was very studious. As a matter of fact, be it school or college, I was never into acting. However, I did dance and learnt Kathak for five years. It was only during second year of engineering that I thought of trying out modeling. It was a great learning experience and the best part is that I could pursue it as a hobby without spending too much time away from college.'
In the midst of this all, Kriti started dabbling with television commercials.
'Yes, I really enjoyed being in front of the camera. I loved the whole shooting experience. Though I do feel nervous when I am in front of live audience for modeling and other rap appearances, I don't feel conscious at all when the camera is rolling,' says Kriti.
The next gradual step for Kriti was to head for Mumbai.
She says, 'Luckily my father was working in Mumbai so I had a family front out there to take care of me. I convinced my parents and they were game for me to begin my acting career here. I am glad everything fell in place; it has been one dreamy journey so far.'
Well, now it would be time to realize that dream once this Sajid Nadiadwala produced and Sabbir Khan directed film releases all over on 23rd May.
