While we have seen Vidya Balan playing myriad characters on-screen, for the first time we will get to see the 'dirty' actress portraying multi-avatars in a single film i.e. BOBBY JASOOS. Right from day one BOBBY JASOOS has been in news for Vidya Balan's male get-ups, a rare thing for an actress to do.
When we asked Vidya how was the experience of donning male disguises, she said with delight, ''I had the most fun doing male disguises in BOBBY JASOOS because most of my male co-stars would often crib when they were asked to put beard and moustache. Whenever they have to wear stubble they would have some or other problem but thankfully I never had any. On the contrary I was enjoying it. In fact, with all the experience I can say it was damn easy. The moment I used to don a moustache or beard my body language and voice used to change accordingly. I was actually most excited to do the male disguises because you never get such an opportunity.''
Asked if her look or costume caused any problem on the sets or with the police and Vidya said, ''No there was no panga on the sets whatsoever with the police. But yes most of the times people didn't recognize me.''
Of all the looks that she has put on in the film, Vidya loved doing the get-up that of an astrologer, which was doing the rounds recently.
''I think the astrologer one, where I had a half-patch bald look on my head with dirty teeth. I enjoyed that a lot. I dubbed with those dirty braces also. The most fun was when I looked into the mirror I couldn't see myself at all and for an actor that's a bigger high,'' smiled Vidya.
Also starring Ali Fazal, Supriya Pathak, Arjan Bajwa, Tanvi Azmi, BOBBY JASOOS is directed by debutant Samar Shaikh, the film is produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha's Born Free Entertainment, presented by Reliance Entertainment. The film is set to hit the screens on July 4, 2014.
