Parineeti Chopra, who has won a National Award for her debut film ISHAQZAADE, says that she doesn't shoot for films with an expectation to win a National Award.
“When I do films, my main aim is that it should be appreciated by the critics, audience and my parents. But what happens after the film is not in my hands. I don't sign up films thinking about an award. Same applies to KILL DIL.,” expressed Parineeti.
Parineeti's KILL DIL co-star Ranveer Singh too supported her reply and added, “It is not for her to decide who will win the National Award.”

When probed whether she is expecting a National Award for KILL DIL and Parineeti admits, “I have tried new things in this film. If people like that and if I have done a good job then I hope I will win an award because at the end awards are very motivating. But National Award demand karne ki aukat nahi hai meri. If I deserve it, I will get it, if not then next time.”
