The pretty petite Mishti Chakraborty made her debut with Subhash Ghai's KAANCHI: THE UNBREAKABLE and now she is all set to be seen in Indra Kumar's GREAT GRAND MASTI, third installment of MASTI franchise. “It's a great honour to be working with Indra Kumar after Subhash Ghai ji,” says the actress.

While she began her career with a solo lead film, her second film GREAT GRAND MASTI is a multi-starrer.

Ask Mishti how her role is placed in the film, as Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani are known to be the face of MASTI franchise, and she says, “Multi-starrer is fine as long as you are part of a good brand. Secondly, the girls also have important roles in the third part as much as the guys have. This time around the wives have strong roles to play. They are no less than the men here.”

MASTI series has generally portrayed women in a demeaning manner and therefore criticized for it. What does Mishti has to say about it? “Probably you are talking about GRAND MASTI. But the third part is more on the lines of MASTI and not GRAND MASTI. There is more Masti and less vulgarity in this film.”

She further defends the franchise saying, “It's all about perception. The way you perceive, you will see the things. People perceive MASTI stuffed with fun and vulgarity. But if one looks at it carefully, then they will realise that MASTI is more about giving a message. It carries a subtle message and teaches you about true love and not to cheat on your partners. The film eventually talks about being faithful to your beloveds, who love you the most.”

Probe Mishti what inspired to do the film and she reveals, “I really loved Genelia in the first part. I found her dynamic and sweet. And she was also one of the reasons that I took up MASTI as I closely follow her. She is my favourite actress.”

But surprisingly she is not paired opposite Riteish Deshmukh in the film. However, when asked whom she is paired opposite in the film she refused to divulge anything further.

The second schedule of the film is already over and 2-3 schedules are more to go. Meanwhile, Mishti is busy with her 2nd Telugu film COLUMBUS.
