With the rising popularity of small screen, it seems actor, comedian, producer and filmmaker Satish Kaushik is focusing on TV these days. After 16 years, when he was seen in ‘Top Ten' with Pankaj Kapur, Satish Kaushik is making a comeback on Television. While he was seen in the lead role of SAB TV's comedy show ‘The Great Indian Family Drama' earlier this year, he is now gearing up for upcoming show ‘Sumit Sambhal Lega', which is an adaptation of the US famous TV show ‘Everybody Loves Raymond' that ran for 9 years.

“Yes, this year you can say that I devoted my time for TV. And I even made a comeback with a comedy show earlier this year on Sab TV. But ‘Sumit Sambhal Lega' is much more interesting and I am excited to be part of it,” says Satish.

Known for his role like Chenu Anand (BRICK LANE), Pappu Pager (HUM KISISE KUM NAHIN), Kunj Biharilal (HASEENA MAAN JAYEGI), Calender (MR. INDIA) and so on all these years, Satish is now playing an obnoxious character in ‘Sumit Sambhal Lega'

Satish talks about his character, “I am playing a Delhi-based character Jasbir Walia, who used to live in Chandni Chowk and now shifted to another locality. But his old typical Delhi habits are not gone. He still has that typical Delhi accent, who keeps gorging on samosas and kachodis and he is very obnoxious in nature.”

“People are going to hate me with it, who kind of makes fun of his son, who keeps bothering his life a lot and makes insulting remarks every now & then. He was never there when his children were growing up. Basically, I am playing a nagging and insulting father. But as the series will move ahead everyone slowly realises this guy has a heart of gold and he loves his family a lot,” he further adds about his character.

But ask if we will miss out on his comedy, for which is well-known, and Satish clears, “My punches and gags will definitely be there. It is all done in fun and nothing is serious here. Jasbir Walia, whether has good or bad habits, is a very interesting and juicy character. Though it's not central character in the series, it has great role to play in the family as the family head.”

Well, Satishji we are sure you will once again entertain and delight us with your new character.
