Some Bollywood celebrities have seen the recently released ANGRY INDIAN GODDESSES, and they showered praises after watching the film. Here's what these celebs had to say about the movie:

KALKI KOECHLIN, GAURI SHINDE, ARSHAD WARSI AND R. BALKI

Javed Akhtar:

You see many character overlaps, which isn't seen in Hindi Cinema. The theme is very powerful and the end is very dramatic. It's a very good film.

Kalki Koechlin:

Firstly I'm absolutely blown away by the performances of all these ANGRY INDIAN GODDESSES. Each one of them are really stunning. You're completely wrapped up in their stories and as a film - it's a modern day parable of the suffering that women are going through in this country. It's a very powerful film.

Arshad Warsi

I think it's absolutely progressive, sensible and smart cinema. In times like this, when you make so many films, everything's been tried out to come out with something still different. It's the most candid film I have ever seen. The performances are great. I haven't seen such good performances and such natural scenes. Everything's fresh as hell. For me, it's progressive and evolving. I have seen it in Hollywood cinema, because I haven't seen anyone ‘act' in foreign films. I see Indians acting in our films, and that's a sad case. Fortunately, in this film, I don't see anyone acting, which is wonderful. That's what I look forward to.

For me, acting and vfx are the same. I see special effects - it's bad special effects, and if I see acting, it's bad acting. This was really good with a brilliant script. I can go on talking. Love it, f*cking amazing. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. You have to see the film. I don't know how to say but it's nice and bloody good.

I'll tell you what happens - The title is apt. To make it to the rest of the world or the rest of the country, unfortunately you have to trick them. It's a pretty honest film.

R Balki:

The finest film I have seen in years. It's an outstanding film. It's possibly the best film; if not the best, one of the best films to come out. I hope everyone sees it and censor board does not touch this film. It's an outstanding film - a film that everyone must see. Truly amazing. Hats off to the entire team, I'm truly shaken.

I would recommend family and friends to watch it 20 times. I want to watch it once again.

The title is stunning and film - brilliant. I just wish we all thought like this. I am a huge fan of the film.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra:

I think it's a very important film for our times and cinema. It's very progressive and entertaining and manages to do the most difficult thing - make you laugh and cry. When I left the theater, you could see a dry tear on my cheek and a smile on my face. It's made beautifully, acted beautifully in. The music is amazing. It's definitely a story well-told and very important and relevant for our contemporary times.

I wouldn't just recommend it to my friends, but to the entire nation. I will support the film and am pretty sure that the people of this country have come of age for a certain cinema. They will love it.

It's a beautiful and apt title - ANGRY INDIAN GODDESSES. I must say that Pan has taken the title not as a gimmick because it has so much meaning to it. And once you walk out of the theater, you leave the theater, but the film doesn't leave you. I'm sure it will remain with me.

Waheeda Rehman:

I liked the film very much. It's very well made, performed and appropriate for the time. The end was very dramatic, when everybody rises and stands. I would surely recommend this film to everyone.

I think ANGRY INDIAN GODDESSES is a very apt title. All the actresses have done well. It's not their first film but it's great!

Gauri Shinde:

I'm still very affected by the film and just blown to say the least. I love each and every character and woman in the film. I wish I could work with them because they are so amazing.

It's brilliantly written and directed. I wanted to hug the women on screen. I loved the film and find it one of the best films this year. Yes, it is and it deserves to be seen by everyone, and I hope that happens.

I loved the title of the film - ANGRY INDIAN GODDESSES. Somehow you feel as an Indian woman, it connects somewhere. It's absolutely brilliant.

Congratulations, all the best and hats off to the women and Pan Nalin. Thanks.
