Karan Singh Grover, best remembered for his role in the TV show ‘Dill Mill Gaye', is now coming with his second movie HATE STORY 3
. In case you forgot, his first movie was ALONE with Bipasha Basu. So when we exclusively interviewed the actor for his upcoming release, he spoke to us about his first reaction towards the movie, if he had to put in some extra efforts and many others things.
Here are some excerpts from the interview:
What was your first reaction when you signed HATE STORY 3?
The reason why I signed the film was because I wanted to do something different, and it had come my way. So my first reaction was good - I'm getting exactly what I wanted.
HATE STORY 3 is your second movie after ALONE. We saw you flaunting your hot bod there and we're seeing it here as well. So, are you trying to create certain kind of an image in the industry?
It's the makers who want that and not me. I stay fit and work out, and as an actor, that always works to your benefit. If the film requires me to go shirtless, then it's always a plus point that I always have been fit. I'm not trying to create anything. It's just that these things require that. Like, I can't play Gandhi.
Why not? As an actor, you can.
As an actor, yes. But then I'll just have to shrink a lot, shape like that and cover my tattoos.
We already know that you love to work out. But did you have to go that extra mile for HATE STORY 3?
''If the film requires me to go shirtless then it's always a plus point''
No, not really. I put the same amount of efforts everyday in my life. So it's not something that I've been particularly following for this film.
HATE STORY was a turning point for Paoli Dam and HATE STORY 2 for Surveen Chawla. It wasn't ever that the male leads enjoyed the limelight. With this movie, it seems otherwise. So do you think it has opened up opportunities for you?
I think it has. And also, the movie has a different twist to it. The revenge is male side of revenge. The movie is different because it has a male's perspective too.
Tell us about your future projects.
I'm currently shooting for 3 DEV. I finished my first schedule and that's a satire/comedy. I can't currently talk about my other project.
How different is 3 DEV from the other films you've done?
It's very different. It's about 3 oprhans – Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, who aren't based on mythological characters. And I won't be going shirtless in it.
