Confirming the news, Maninder said, “Yes it has been postponed since there are too many releases. And we were not getting enough shows and screens.”

He added saying, “We were the first one to announce and fix the release date. However, we postponed it considering it was getting lesser number of shows. So it would have only affected the business.”

When questioned him if YRF's DUM LAGA KE HAISHA was the reason behind the film getting postponed, Maninder said, “No it has nothing to do with any specific film. To avoid the clash, we decided push it ahead and that made sense to all.”

Coincidentally, Holi also falls on the same day as the film's release, ask the actor if that will benefit the film and he says, “Festive mood mai toh log jaayenge, it's a blessing in disguise in a way. Holi is a time when the families chill together so it would be an apt time for the film to release. It will certainly benefit the film.”

Also not to forget, the Mallika Sherawat-Om Puri-Anupam Kher starrer DIRTY POLITICS is releasing on the same day. When asked the actor about clashing with the film he said, “It's better to clash with a single than with multiple films releasing on the same day. Since we have postponed the release we are getting more shows now. While earlier we were getting only 1-2 shows for the film. I think it's good and will help the film and make it convenient for audience.”

Directed by Ajay Chadhok, produced by Vidhi Acharya, HEY BRO which was initially supposed to release on 27th February will now release on 6th March 2015. The film stars Ganesh Acharya, Maninder Singh, Nupur Sharma, Hanif Hilal and Prem Chopra.
