The BESHARAM actress Pallavi Sharda is now gearing up for her upcoming release HAWAIZAADA that also stars Ayushmann Khurrana alongside. As the film celebrates the unsung hero of India, Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, a scientist, who is credited with having constructed India's first unmanned plane, Pallavi sings praises of India's contribution towards science and technology. Despite dwelling in Australia, she grew up with Indian values and tradition.

Pallavi says, “My father always used to tell me about the glorious past of India that we were the pioneers in creating various techniques. We were the first ones to give the world ‘zero'. Indians discovered the theory of atoms. Since my parents are mathematicians, engineers so they used to tell me about several stories, which were actually part of my upbringing.”

“So, there is a lot of science and technology which has come but not really highlighted. In fact, the first thing I did when I read the script is I called my dad and asked if this is possible and he said it's very much possible. So, for me the scientific tradition in India and the idea of Vedic science was very interesting because I grew up learning Hindu philosophy. Right from childhood we have been reading Bhagavad Geeta. Despite staying in Australia, I grew up in a very Indian milieu. So, it was coming together of different values for me and it well resonated with me,” she adds.

HAWAIZAADA is pretty close to Pallavi and she would have still supported the film, if it was not offered to her.

“Even if I wasn't in this film, I would be completely rallying it because the concept is so unique. It's brilliant in terms of the aesthetic, it is beautifully shot. It is just made with lot of love. The film is pretty close to me and I think Vibhu as a director is supremely talented.”

Directed by Vibhu Puri, produced by Reliance Entertainment, HAWAIZAADA is all set to release on January 30, 2015.
