Once again Karan Johar blamed govt. policy for Bollywood business woes. He was speaking during the launch of one of the songs of the Hindi version of BAHUBALI. The song is one of the seven songs the film is supposed to have. Karan Johar's Dharma Productions is presenting the Hindi version of the film. The film is directed by S.S. Rajamouli and is supposedly one of the most expensive films ever produced in India. It's a two-part film. The first part will be released on 10th July 2015.
When asked if Bollywood ever speaks to the government in one voice, Karan Johar, one of the leading producers and directors of Bollywood, said that the industry has been speaking to the govt. in one voice. He was referring to the interactions the Indian Producers' Guild has had with the Information & Broadcasting Ministry in recent times.
He further added that there are some producers who don't make films and thus their voice does not really count. He was pointed out that he was creating a class divide within the industry ignoring completely the presence of other film associations like IMPPA, he said that matters like these should be talked about at forums like FICCI.
