SS Rajamouli was replying to the questions by the media at an event in Mumbai that launched the first look of the first part of the film BAHUBALI directed by him. It's touted as the most expensive Indian action/period film ever made with a budget of Rs.200 crores.  State of the art visual and sound effects and CGI have been used in the making of this most opulently produced Indian film.

The trailer was screened in a theatre equipped with Dolby Atmos sound system and the posters of the film looked world class.  The cast of the film has big names of the South Indian cinema including Prabhas Rana Daggubati (Bhallaladeva), Anushka Shetty (Devasena) and Tamannaa (Avanthika).
Rajamouli Sri Sailasri is the maker of award winning and path-breaking blockbuster hits like MAGADHEERA, EEGA (Hindi dubbed version MAKKHI),  MARYADA RAMANN(Remade in Hindi as SON OF SARDAR) VIKRAMARKUDU (Remade in Hindi as  ROWDY RATHORE). He is known to push the boundaries of imagination and technique and do what has never been done before.

However, he still does not imagine himself challenging the technical and marketing prowess of Hollywood. He thinks that the Indian film industry has a long way to go before it recovers the 50 years lead taken by Hollywood in this field. He said that he made his films with subjects that inspired and moved him emotionally and the film would do well globally or not was never his concern.

BAHUBALI has been in the making for the past two and half years. The two-part period action drama will be simultaneously released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. The first part of the film will be releasing this summer followed by the second part in early 2016.
The Hindi version of the film is being presented by Karan Johar under his Dharma Productions banner.
