Like the good ol' days, the film's posters are hand painted. Says Atul, “Hand painted posters don't happen anymore. I don't know why. They are beautiful. I remember that whole experience of going to a cinema hall and while your parents are buying the tickets, you stand up looking at the giant hand painted posters back in the 80s and 90s. But now it doesn't happen.”
He further adds, “The idea came to me because my film deals with artisans (shoe makers). This is also one community of artisans which we are going to lose out on – the people who made hand painted posters and banners. I was always fascinated by it. So I managed to get in touch with a professional poster painter and asked him. It was very exciting to work with him because of his whole process. He understands the whole story and then comes up with the idea. It was very organic and we couldn't have done it with a digital poster. So it came as an idea which we acted upon and something nice came out of it.”
The film is scheduled to release on 13th March.
