Deepika Padukone celebrated the success of her recent movie PIKU at a dance reality show.
When asked how she feels about it, Deepika said, “We as a team are coming to terms as to what is happening to PIKU. Because it's a phenomenon if I may say. I don't think it's ever happened before”
“I don't think any of us expected the reaction PIKU is receiving. And truly, it has gone behind us also. The audiences are the reason for what is happening (the movie success),” she added.

When asked Deepika if she would want to wish ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor luck for his upcoming movie BOMBAY VELVET (that releases a week after PIKU), Deepika said, “Absolutely. Not just for Ranbir, but also for the entire team. I know it's a film that's very very difficult to execute, & I really wish them all the best.”
She even called her movie PIKU more universal than BOMBAY VELVET. Said Deepika, “I think it is possible for different kinds of films to co-exist. I think that (BOMBAY VELVET) is a very different kind of film. PIKU is a very different kind of film. I think it's more universal. It caters to a family audience.”
Deepika Padukone's movie PIKU has released last week, while Ranbir Kapoor's BOMBAY VELVET is slated to release this Friday i.e. on May 15, 2015.
