Ask the director Shoojit Sircar if any sequel is on the cards and he says with straight face sarcasm, “We are making it into a TV series. We are planning about 8-9 sequels. “

In a serious tone he added, “If I wanted to make a sequel, I would have made VICKY DONOR's sequel first. I need to have an idea for PIKU's sequel first. If I get one, I will announce it myself.”
