Jay Bhanushali: I don't like when actors treat TV as back-up option
May 20, 2015 4:41:15 PM IST By Rachana Sheth, Glamsham Editorial
Small screen sensation Jay Bhanushali made his debut with HATE STORY 2 starring Surveen Chawla along side and later on starred in Sunny Leone's EK PAHELI LEELA. However, in both the films the limelight was hogged by the female counterparts and it didn't quite create spark at the Box-office.
Where many actors (like Rajeev Khandelwal, Ayushmann Khurrana, etc) after biting the dust in films once again turned to TV, ask Jay if he also feels Television as a back-up option and he responds, “I never take TV as a back-up option. In fact I don't like actors when they treat TV as a back-up option. I take it as front option. It's such a vast medium and you can't deny its popularity and reach. One should not underestimate its power.”
“I don't know about others. Everyone has their own strategy to follow. It's every individual's respective decision. But when you ask me I won't quit TV for films. TV has been my first love and it will stay forever. I love hosting shows and people too love my anchoring. So I will take up more reality shows as it connects me with the audience. I don't want to disappoint my fans,” he adds further
Well, Jay we appreciate your stand and hope you have a successful career in films as well!
